Me, my brother and my mum made these amazing ice marbles out of just this:
°Round balloons
°Tap water°Food colouring
So if you want to make one of them follow these instructions: As you know; You will need balloons, water and food colouring,
Step 1.
First take one of the balloons and put a little bit of food colouring in it ( and I mean a little bit). now fill up the balloon with water.
Step 2.
Put it in the cold snow out side for a few days; if this does not work put it in the freezer for about one or two nights.
Step 3.
hope you managed to do it, if you did please tell me in the comments bellow; Thank you.
I tried to do this, but what sort of balloons do you need? I used used normal balloons but couldn't get them to fill up very much with water. So we had small ice marbles. Pretty though!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you've tried this; We used ordinary Tesco balloons, I will put a picture on the artical. A good way to get the water in the balloon is to put the top of the balloon (the open bit) on to the tap and let it fill slowly.
ReplyDeleteExcellent tip, thanks! Will have to use the freezer now that the snow has gone!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I will try this with my children when it's next cold - I think they will love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat - we did this and had a selection of pink, green and blue balloons, Harris our cat was not at all impressed with them, he went to lick one and got quite a shock. Our cat is not very bright....
